i worked at an industrial recycling compound for 3 years, and i can personally tell you that no one gives a flying rat's ass about anything you've mentioned.
if it's not related to antique war memorabilia, vintage automobiles, vintage electronics [commodore vics, sega mega drive, nes, ibm clones, old macintosh computers, floppy/tape/disc drives, etc.], something useful, or something with significant value - they'd sooner spend their afternoon getting shitfaced, rather than, sift through cans of unopened paint cans among other things.
