The company Powkiddy commissioned to make the circuitboards for their RGB20S then sold the circuitboard design to whoever made the R35S. Powkiddy shit the bed and got every store to pull them/report them/stop selling them. A store can get into trouble for selling the R35S now.
In response, the company who made the R35S then got whoever made Anbernic's circuitboards for the RG353VS (could have been the same PCB company, I don't know) to sell them the design to make the R36S.
Anbernic is a far larger company than Powkiddy, tenfold, but it seems they have lost all of their affluence/influence recently. Normally the R36S would have been shitcanned faster than the R35S was but, it's allowed to just exist and Anbernic can't do shit about it. It also seems like the R33S, which everyone is calling a Miyoo Mini + clone, uses the RG35XX's circuitboard, not the MM+'s. This company is just undermining Anbernic and nobody cares.
