Does anyone else feel Donkey Kong 64 is a game that starts strong and ends strong but has a bad middle? The first three worlds are great, but once you get all the Kongs, the game starts to feel like a massive slog. It isn't until Creepy Castle, which is a genuinely well-designed and enjoyable world, that things pick up. Hideout Helm is a great final level and the final boss is incredibly enjoyable and memorable. I feel that the reason so many people have fond memories of it is because of the beginning and ending and not so much the middle.
