They could have had another clone character in Cyborg.

The console game does use the Super Turbo engine, so it plays great.

I really like the Street Fighter 2 Movie. Not only was the game fire in its day, the movie trailers and awesome song composed by T.K. brought the hype. It was a fitting song for the final fight which was very satisfying for a dictator main, having faced countless horrid players picking top tier Ryu/Ken players, and still being better when they had so much options still have to resort to cheap tricks. The animated movie was so good, it inspired stages, characters, and character designs for the Zero/Alpha series.

Feel it:

Going to have to claim Takeuchi Yuka. She has the attributes I look for.

I fucking love that track. The movie was so hype back then. A great trailer song which amped the climactic battle, and I will admit to taking a lot of personal joy in seeing my main beating the shit out of Ken+Ryu at the same time. Those remixes are nice, but I still feel the original has a better energy:

Great soundtrack by TK which was like the hottest producer of Jpop at the time. An artstyle that fit for Gundam, Capcom's own artists loved enough to make it the cover art for the Super Famicom and Mega Drive release of Super. Visuals that inspired the Alpha series and defined their younger character stylings. A final battle so epic, a whole gameplay mode was added into the game. It is the only Street Fighter movie I saw, in Japanese of course, and it is a great companion piece to a great game.

Only got it because it was $1USD. After playing it once, I've not played it since but I feel like I got my dollar's worth.

I only played the arcade game through MAME and it was kind of bad. However the home port on the Saturn, which is probably the same as the Playstation version, plays a lot more like the Street Fighter games I know. I wouldn't say I like the game, but for the ¥100JPY junk bin price they go for I think they are pretty amusing. I guess my distaste for digitized graphics stems from how much I disliked Mortal Kombat's everything, and the real battle on film tries to mimic all its awfulness. However, they did digitize the movie I am more familiar with and made a FMV game which is kind of not good either, but its fighting segments using Cyborg makes me want Capcom to bring back the character, even if it is a dirty ansatsuken fighter like my hated Ryu/Ken/Gouki.

How about games based on movies based on games?

There were a lot of PC-Engine games I remembered based on anime/manga. I am currently playing Dragon Half.

According to the 2017 issue, it is the 64th best PC game of all time, beating out Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines at 65 and not as amazing as Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 at 63. I liked the other two games and the magazine compares it to Donnie Darko and Twin Peaks which is really cool stuff I like too. I see threads on /v/ hating it and loving the game, and the blurb in the magazine puts it in good company. Without playing it for myself all I can say that it looks like Kate and Max are the cute girls I look for in games. I will give it a try one day.

I will probably be the first to know, as I'm pretty far along in age. I do remember the CDi in kiosks in now defunct local chain stores. They featured it at a trade show and I had fun playing the system. If you mean VCDs of the Street Fighter films, I think they bootlegged a lot on VCDs. I have a few bi-lingual Chinese (I think) and Japanese VCDs of Evangelion I use in my Saturn to play around with the MPEG card. Couldn't find them at the moment, so here's some Street Fighter Movie games.

Not quite as I lack the space, time, and money to play the games I love. I even get stuck replaying old games I've already played because I still enjoy them and they are what I do have opposed to the now expensive Xbox One X and CDi.
