Original Otyugh was had thorny tentacles, some with eyes at the end, stumpy stompy feet, and a big mouth. In FF1 Ochu still have eyes at the end of their tentacles, but later games would get rid of that, while revisions to D&D would make the Otyugh more of a "threatening" monster with a dinosaur like build.
