I think a genuine advantage of vinyl is that the mixing tends to have a better dynamic range than digital releases because of physical limitations on how loud they can be and such (pic related is an extreme example of this)
of course this completely depends on the engineer and there are still a lot of digital releases that sound excellent
however lately I've been noticing that a lot of vinyl releases are half assed and they simply take the fucked up brickwalled mix that every other release has and turn down the volume
