Would call it a clone if it wasn't literally made by people who worked on the SF1 and didn't have a crossover of sorts in some manga or something. In some ways more similar to it than CD and SF2.
It's more grim, militaristic and all though. It also got an alignment system and different routes attached to it, which you get into depending on how you play.
tl;dr It got a centaur girl, the fuck else do you need?
