I never played that one, but Ranma 1/2 Hard Battle while certainly not a good fighting game by any means is at least much better than Rise and Shaq-fu.

I'm a sega fanboy and even I hate Eternal Champions. I'm pretty sure the only people around here who champion it experienced it as one of their first fighters and are fueled by nostalgia. It's just another middling 16 bit fighter.

Like this piece of junk! Maybe junk is too strong a word, it gave me many hours of fun and I loved it because it was Ranma. But it's a pretty typical clunky fighter of the era.

He just said to name a good game, not the only good game. There are tons of great fighting games with block buttons, Mortal Kombat just happens to be one of them. Street Fighter isn't too bad either. Heck even in Ranma 1/2 Hard Battle you could press the back button to block when an attack was coming. I wouldn't call it great, but it's good fun.
