I got one my first playthrough by blind luck without even trying, fucked around with it for a few minutes and then equipped something else. It was only later I learned it was considered hard to find and OP.

Not like it matters in SOTN anyways. I'm glad I played through it the first time being blissfully unaware of how easy it is to break.

Well yeah on normal or maybe even hard you have some flexibility, on God mode you need hades because it'll keep them off you while healing the family which you will 100% have to do multiple times.

I guess I just have such PTSD from God mode I always default to the best strategies on harder difficulties. I enjoyed the challenge of the harder modes up to a point but I definitely had the most fun with my first playthrough

of just play FFVIII, grind a little with Diabolos midway through disk 1 and play with no random encounters for the rest of the game.
