/vr/ - Retro Games

So I've got the following games on N64 right now:

>Banjo-Kazooie
>Smash Bros
>Diddy Kong Racing
>Goldeneye 007
>Super Mario 64

My friend is lending me DK64, Star Fox 64, and Ocarina of Time.

What games should I try to get next? Considering pic related or maybe Conker if I get enough money.

Probably my favorite with adventure. It has a atmosphere and sense of adventure I don't feel the other games capture. I know many criticize it as being slow and not like super star but Shimoura's games were always like that, never bothered me. Beautiful art, great music, and the fun power combining makes me feel it is worth a playthrough. One of my favorite games to just beat in a day or two.

Inserting a cartridge is much more satisfying then placing a CD on a tray.
HOWEVER.
On certain systems/computers, opening/closing the actual CD tray is just as much if not more satisfying.

Don't even get me started on the sound certain machines make when reading disks.

I felt the series peaked with this game. It has a fantastic soundtrack and in my opinion, the best rendition of Kirby.

That would be amazingly adorable, but I doubt it will happen. As we discussed earlier, any semblance of overarching plot in the games has been utterly destroyed.
