I've made a little diagram showing the second game as best as I remember it. I remember that there were different planet types but you didn't know what a planet would be until you scouted it out first. I think one of the types was "metropolis" or something where it was inhabited with lots of aliens already, or something, maybe I'm just crazy and misremembering.
