What are some wrong pronunciations you've heard or said.

Ryu: "Roo" or "Rye-you"

Guile: "Gill-ee" (not lying. I knew a black kid who pronounced it like that.)

Samus: "Sa-moose"

Sagat: "Saggot" like "faggot"

Ninja "Gayden"

Blink this one game, its descendants, and all those it directly changed or inspired out of existence.

And how different is the entire world?

You should be aware that Mortal Kombat was about to be cancelled until they were able to point to this game as being a smash hit, allowing them to finish it.
