All prices are 'murrikan dollars. Currently my budget consists of $30 or something like that, so I'm still doubtful about what to buy.

Yep, the Shotgun comes from a Tootsie-Toy Dakota Toygun (which is specially stored amongst the Doom clay models in a nifty gallery) , the plasma and the BFG come from various pieces of Nerf toys placed in many ways (the plasmagun comes straight from a dissasembled part of a M60 replica)

Doomguy's pistol is a Beretta 92FS, and the chainsaw is a McCulloch Eager Beaver. Doomguy's hairy hands are none other than Kevin Cloud's own set

As for making new weaps, like >>910741 said, they may vary. Some people go from scratch, others use 3D models and then they tweak 'em to match Doom's palette, etc.
