/vr/ - Retro Games

Can you guys help me out? I bought a ROG Ally with the intention of using it primarily as an emulation device but my experience with it has been absolutely and utterly horrible. Stupid decision. A ton of issues both on the software and hardware end. I tried to install three emulators but none of those works perfectly (PPSSPP, mGBA, MelonDS). This thing can't even fucking run GTA LCS or GTA VCS. For context, I used my Windows 11 laptop for emulation before but now I'm using it for work so that's not an option anymore, and it could run almost every retro game perfectly up to the 3ds. What other handheld would you recommend me? I'm interested in GBA, PSP, NDS and some 3DS and PS2. Not the Steam Deck, too big to carry around.
