Wew what a flop of a game. They had a massive promotional push for this game. Numerous magazine ads, commercials, VHS tapes sent out to anyone with a subscription to a gaming magazine at the time. The main tagline was "TORTURE YOUR ENEMIES!". It received mixed reviews and a year later I bought it for $4 from a used game store.

It was boring, ugly, and just a mediocre game all around. Shiny also made those horrific Enter the Matrix games.

I played Earthworm Jim a few times and felt like it was just "off". I was younger so I couldn't quite explain it, but when I would play other platformers of the era, I always had more fun than playing EJ.
