For those who only have played the PSP port, this minigame was actually an elaborate error screen if you were using the System Card 1.00, 2.00 or 2.10 instead of the Super System Card,(3.00) which added 192 KB RAM to the PC Engine, which this game(amongst many others) required. All PCE CD models after the original briefcase model had the 192KB RAM built in though, so those error screens are rarely seen now. You can still use earlier system cards to see them even on a newer CD model.(Super CD-ROM, PCE Duo/R/RX, Turbo Duo)
