I agree though, RSE started the trend of legendaries being titans in conflict and were a regression from GSC in multiple ways. Amazing how kiddified they were considering the previous games already starred ten-year-olds.
I think FRLG were even worse than RSE though. They sold so well that it forever justified Game Freak's modus operandi to just slap a remake of their previous game on the most recent version of their engine. And people eat it up.
