>zephyr runeword/low level unique bow. Level magic arrow, critical strike and guided arrow for bosses. One point in penetrate. Do this til you hit act 5, then farm the boss pack right above the waypoint until you hit 30. Use Akara to respec into Freezing Arrow. Level that, one point in crit, one in penetrate, several in pierce. Get valkyrie if you want but it's not necessary yet.
>mid level unique/rare bow/bow with +skills and or attack speed. Keep building the above skills. This will clear nightmare easy.
>make a Harmony runeword if you've dropped nothing better. Harmony is also great to keep on switch. Makes farming faster and gives you more control/safety while fighting
>grind levels with what you've got on Nightmare mephisto, pindleskin, eldritch and baal runs until you hit 80+ and have some decent gear to play with
>pray to fucking god you drop a good bow like a goldstrike arch, eaglehorn or witchwild string, which can carry you through hell when upgraded.
>eventually respec again when you're ready for hell, this time level magic arrow, guided arrow, Valkyrie, crit/penetrate/pierce and either strafe or multishot. I prefer strafe. You won't have any issues in hell with immunities outside of very rare monsters.
>if you find something that actually works for a cold/fire build, they are do-able as well, but you'll have to skip a lot of bosses
>hell will suck no matter what you do
>end game you use a high level runeword, a windforce or witchwild string

They've my favourite way to play the game and it feels incredibly rewarding taking them from zero to hero. You just have to accept they're slow until you've got the best gear, and even then they're still subpar compared to every other class and other amazon build in some way.
