I miss pink Knuckles aka Rastafari

No, although Sonic 2 felt more diverse, 3 had the cinematic Quality, the realistic graphics inspired by DKC, and the new, mysterious rival character, Rastafari.
It wasn't until later that I learned that it was a male Echidna and names Knuckles, when I started seeing S&K ads.

'membah when Knuckles was still a mysterious new enemy character that was reported to be called "Rastafari" by the press after the reveal at Sega expo, probably a placeholder name before Sega decided his name. Also he was more fuchsia/pink and not red, and that led to many people believing it was a girl.
All that, my friends, is SOVL. I want to go back.

It's wild how some moments in video game History get quickly forgotten in favor of more contemporary grasp.
Knuckles is one of the best examples. Nowadays, people think of him and immediately think of the Knuckles memes, the Sonic Boom buff Knuckles, the rap songs from Adventure 2, and maybe, a few people think of the original Sonic & Knuckles.
But it's weird how during a brief period, sometime in 1994, kids all around the world were presentes by a mysterious new character that was actually a rival and an enemy, and that it wasn't a he, but a she (maybe an error un western localization teams or magazine editors, but the pink color, instead of the retconned Red color, helped think of him as a girl). The name Knuckles wasn't even decided ir revealed to the public yet, in these early days of building up Sonic 3 hype, video game magazines presented her as "Rastafari". I remember me and my friends kept calling him Rastafari for a while, thinking Knuckles was a nickname (like how Tails was Miles).
But this moment was so short that most Sonic fans that weren't there actually following every news of Sonic 3 before it came out simply don't know.
