I agree to this, it feels more like the Dreamcast was meant to compete with the N64 and PS1, not the PS2. If you were actually around during that time, it was basically seen as the third console.

Dreamcast really got the better half of that generation. I like Mega Man X4 but DC got both Tony Hawk games and two Sonic Adventures. They didn't even bother making a NiGHTS sequel on Saturn which is just lame.
