So my wife got me a Dreamcast for our anniversary.
I'm not really familiar with the console. I've usually only stuck with Atari and Nintendo while playing my Genesis sparsely in comparison.
What are some games I should try?
I'm a fan of action/adventure, shooters, and other similar genres.

Hey /v/. I was cleaning my apartment and in a dark recess of a dark closet I found a pic related. I have never owned one of these before. What are the best games on this machine? As of now I want to get the jojo fighter and Crazy Taxi. I am not THAT interested in Sonic.

Would you say the Dreamcast was a failure of a system? Last Sega console ever made. Would it have been even if the Dreamcast did really well? Who knows. There was some gold on this console.

What are some hidden gem/underrated DC games? I already played Maken X and Gundam: Rise from the Ashes and they were great. I was looking into D2 and Blue Stinger and they seem like my cup of tea.

Trascending what console gaming was by understanding gaming in general. When the DC was released online gaming and gaming communities were a big thing but just for PC gamers. The difference is that PC were $1000 machines that did more than gaming. The DC was a relatively cheap piece of hardware that was very simple to use (a console basically) which let you go online and had online console games (plus "3D accelerated" graphics). You had the first console MMO in the Dreamcast. Also it was when SEGA got the arcade experience at home they had been marketing for so long right. In a time when arcades had just stopped being the most advanced gaming machines, SEGA released their console with hardware on par with their main arcade machine, the Naomi.

The ride stopped before time but there was a hdd like storage option (the zip drive) and an MP3 player VMU in the pipeline. Also, a DVD player.

Also, the VMU and the VGA box.

So basically it wanted to be more than a console while remaining a console.

I don't know what I would say, I love the dreamcast but as the SNES guy I may be biased. Still it's compact and gently wavey it really looks like a dream machine.

NEC consoles were also nice too.

How often do you guys play Dreamcast?

It's really easy to get the whole library of games with some patience and CD-Rs. On top of those I've got a good amount of homebrew. Remember the good old days when Ivy's boobs weren't her greatest asset, her butt was? Remember ROCK THAT SHIT, HOMIE?

I have two different battlestations. One is a 240p-480i CRT, hooked up to it is my NES, SNES, and PS1. All are outputting RGB. The other is my HDTV, hooked up to it is my PS2 and Wii. Both are outputting 480p Component.

I have recently acquired a Dreamcast, what the hell am I supposed to do with it? It's like a 5.5 generation console, I have no idea which it would look better on or what to do with it.

If the Dreamcast was such a great console, why was it a failure?

When I use to play my dreamcast I had this game that I cant remember the name and would like your help.

I've been interested in the idea of emulating PSX games on Dreamcast since first hearing about Bleemcast! back when it was new and learning that it could render PSX games better than the hardware itself could. Anyone have any success with Bleemcast? I'd like to know which games work the best with it.

HELP ME WHAT IS THIS GAME ON THE DREAMCAST. a little, yellow dainty robot. It doesn't have any human features like arms or eyes. It looks like r2d2 actually, but less detailed.
it roams around this weird city/planet that has a lot of dirt and metal buildings. and i'm on a mission to something. but i don't remember what haha.
