>really into RPGs growing up, still am
>have pretty much all of the really good ones on SNES
>Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, SMRPG, FFVI, etc
>friend is loves mario, but his family doesn't buy him many video games because they're super religious and think it's a waste of time
>comes over to my house for a sleep over and freaks out when he sees SMRPG
>wants to play it, but I tell him it's not actually a platformer mario, just a RPG with mario characters
>can tell he doesn't believe me, but lets it go
>leaves saturday morning
>go to my room after walking with him to his house, see my SNES stack toppled over
>put games back in order alphabetically
>notice SMRPG isn't there
>start freaking out
>go over to his house later that night to play, didn't forget about SMRPG but I didn't assume it was stolen, just that I misplaced it
>"hey anon, look what my mom bought me today!"
>shows me MY copy of SMRPG, with his initials written on the fucking label
>know its bullshit because his parents never buy him games
>can't get him to confess it's mine though, despite the fact he has no manual, box, and doesn't show it to his parents
>next day is Sunday
>know his parents keep their doors unlocked
>sneak in while they're at church and steal it back
