Ages ago I read on your first playthrough you could get through the game with gems, spells, keeping weapons in shape and smart usages of combos. The weapon combining/grinding puppets stuff could be saved for NG+. I find myself brute forcing through the game by having gigantic infinite chains at maximum risk, otherwise I just don't do enough damage.

Did I fall for retarded advice or am I the retard?
