>The only fun physics in that game are flying with the cape.
I like being able to throw shells and other objects in upward arcs.
Also I felt it's actually the fastest Mario.

Original NES, then All-Stars.
Don't listen to this autist >>5589306 although I agree that the drums aren't as good as SMB3's drums, and some changes were weird, it's still not bad of a remake and has more detail overall, worth playing but only as a 2nd play, first play the original.

The very title screen of SMB3 starts with a checkered floor and a red curtain.
Twin Peaks' black lodge doesn't actually have checkered floors, but that wavy pattern, still black and white and obviously meant to be a more "trippy" version of masonic temples or rooms. Mark Frost made it no secret that he has investigated about freemasons and their rituals and implemented that in Twin Peaks.
Still, it's better not to read too much into it, I mean, don't start believing Super Mario 64 is actually a freemason tool to turn kids into MK ultra or something like that. Probably the art directors were inspired by occult and magic (not just freemason/illuminati), but it doesn't mean the game is some sort of tool to brainwash kids is what I mean. It's a video game, bro.
