Except for the part where I was already here and the 4chan crumbling around you was brought on by you. Board cultures exist, /vr/ is still fairly new. Imagine if you weren't as big a tool as humanly possible in these threads? Imagine if you fostered actual conversation instead of whining about "cancer" and calling people new? Imagine if you didn't throw such a shitfit every time Ikaruga got mentioned? You fucked it, you fucked it hard and it's great.

I love how I'm the one having a good time through all this and all you can do is cry and name call day in and day out, but somehow you till try to paint like I'm the one upset.

Sorry that my wife also likes video games and the PSP is a handy emulation device? I don't know why that bit gets your panties in a twist so much, but it's entertaining.

I'm in my 40's and come here because there are many old games I still like and still like talking about.

I think the biggest change in the last 10 years or so is that retro gaming used to be mostly the domain of people around my age who were into them because it's what they grew up with. But now more and more there are younger people who are exploring these games for the first time.

Personally I think it's fantastic to see the interest they have and how much the games still appeal to them. Overall, whatever the reason is I hope the interest in old games continues to grow.

I can beat Gaiares and other Genny action games as easily on emulator as I can on Nomad, or as I remember using a Genesis and CRT back in the day. If there's some lag there that doesn't happen to be getting in the way of my fun then it's not a problem for me.

No one is telling you that you have to play on emulators though.

Is it this much like Castlevania?

Wow I feel completely the opposite. For me it was just a random purchase from a pawn shop with half a dozen others I'd not really heard of at the time. It quickly became easily my favorite shmup on the Genesis and one of my favorites overall. I've played through it more times than I can count, love everything about it. Especially the upgrade system and those awesome as fuck bosses.

That picture was taken over 10 years ago when I had my own place and tended to be messy. I still keep my thumbnails long, but I find that's better for gaming. Sorry they offend you?

Also or all your smugness you're the one saying you need drinking, reading magazines and preferably other people around just to get into the right zone where you feel like you're really enjoying these games again. That's most of what I'm reacting to here, because it seems so bizarre to me.

I could see if you were a young person trying to get into a culture you think you missed out on, but the way you write it doesn't seem like that's the case. So really I just don't get it at all. I've always loved playing video games for the game part of them.

I am laughing so hard right now. Sorry I haven't taken dozens of pictures of it so you have some variety to look at when people ask about Nomads. That this has irritated you delights me.

Gaiares is number 1!

You power up your weapon by sending out your bit to latch onto enemies and steal their attack. There are lots of different types and no one is flat out the best and finding the right weapon for the sections is a ton of fun.

Also the bosses are awesome, giant robot dragons and space princesses. You even fly though a space castle avoiding guillotines and shit then fight death. It's awesome.

This thread is full of great suggestions though.
