It's nice for 5th gen and older, specially with it's controller UI and with a CRT.
Get a good controller(s) and hook up a real CRT at 240p/60Hz and you're good to go.

It's a tweakers paradise, you can customize so much.

Most cores are just standalone emulators ported to libretro. You still have the same customizability as the standalone emulator, but also all the RetroArch customization, like run-ahead, super resolution on CRT, etc.

I'm starting to think 90% of people who talk about RetroArch have zero idea what it is or how it works.
