First, I have it set to S-Video. Then, I opt to use NTSC 3-Phase as opposed to 2-Phase because I want to minimize color bleeding and keep as much color vibrancy as possible. This does mean I have to bring NTSC Resolution Scaling down to actually blend, but setting it to 0.75 does the job. I then set Chroma Scaling to max to just about eliminate all color bleeding and sharpen the image. For further sharpening, I set Horizontal Filter range to 1.0, Substractive Sharpening to 1.2, Sharpness definition to 2.0 and Maximum Sharpness to 0.27 (any higher and you get artifacts). You can go even sharper still by messing with the NTSC Sharpness and NTSC Anti-Ringing, although I like the bit of blur that's still left overall.

There is, of course, some dithering that just won't blend.
