Is that 100% accurate? I thought that you had to run some certain dashboard or whatever to run the same. Like I said all I have is an A500 and when I tried to fire it up I got an ?SOD (? because no RGB cable at this point). The power supply works though so if I just buy an A1200 base with a CD-ROM drive solo, and a CD32 controller it'll be >= a CD32 in every way? Will my A500 power supply run it?

Well... What mods have you already done and what do you use your a500 for? Mine doesn't even boot.

So I pulled this A500 out of the basement today. Had it 10+ years never once used it. Gonna scrub its board down with some lemon juice and put a floppy emulator in it if it boots.

What should I play? I have a C128 down there too with the same story. Is there enough traffic on /vr/ anymore to bother starting a Commodore thread?
