It's like calling the trackball on this thing an emulation of a mouse, when the whole point of it was that it was NOT an emulation of a mouse, just a close substitution, decreasing compatibility.

But then, it actually could emulate a mouse, increasing compatibility. Just as an arcade stick might emulate a keyboard.
