but what I am remembering mostly in F-Zero X on the hard difficulties...was like reverse rubberbanding for you or something:

>going okay first 10 seconds
>everyone just starts passing you for no apparent reason.
>nothing you can do.
>try to block or ram, just slows you down more
>back of the pack, making literally no headway
>this is hell.
