I play it once a year with the expansions and consider it one of the best games of all time. Xen is fucking horrible though and always leaves me with a sour taste in my mouth.
I get why some people don't like it but that one guy who is on a decades long campaign to attempt to somehow destroy a beloved classic PC games image is beyond insane.

I just like the HECU soldiers. They deal, and take, the right amount of damage, they run around, and the sound of their radio chatter is great.

Nice Signal lost soldiers actually do something that always kinda bothered me in HL vanilla, they fire in full automatic instead of the burst fire from the original that honestly its kinda cool but wish they went full auto sometimes.


man I love the soldiers from HL, I find them so awesome its the no bullshit radio coms? The fact that they hold their own against aliens pretty well.

We should have gotten more mods with them. Opfor is alright for its time but I dont like that much.

For some reason I still fucking love the original ones. The low and higher poly.
The radio chatter, the fact they looked so professional, and won against the aliens tons of times. Less annoying then the chatter in ion fury.

I wish there were more mods around them, Opfor is not enough.

I just found out the pack for Opfor.

I do like the shotgun more and the and m4 sound, but I would prefer they had done a higher res mp5 like some packs around. Black mesa was close quarters anyway and they were special forces.

Not a fan of the beretta model also. But then again the vanilla glock was also shit.

I love HL grunts. We should have had tons more mods with them. Shit even a xcom type game.
