more of a time travel sorta question anyway
id keep that shit hidden bigtime

When I grew up I would probably make a fortune off of UI consultation convincing companies that they should make products with the kind of user interface design choices that we use today.
"because it makes it so simple to use its like using a mac and even grandpa can figure out how to use these ribbons and unobtrusive interfaces"

And by copyrighting that shit I would probably have millions of bucks.
There's other ideas that can be stapled into the computer business too, like the idea that "Dynamic Lights should be additive so that they can make scenes brighter than fullbright, not just color the environment" - it took a long damn time for that to make it into OpenGL.

Selling advanced computer hardware that says its from the future will get you NDA'd by the NSA and you probably wouldnt be able to keep the money from it anyway.
Keeping the damn thing hidden and an unsubstantiated local rumor means you can sell the ideas that took people 25 years of tripping over in the dark to figure out.
Might also be able to take the Fonts on it and remake them in oldstyle TTF format and open up your own Type Foundry and make a boat-ass amount of money on that too (because font makers are extremely anal about their licensing).

And I dunno honestly whether the interface of Windows 10 would inspire bloodthirst against Bill Gates or not. It actually is a hell of alot better than Windows 3.1 and a couple years Windows 95 would basically look the same but still very much primitive in comparison.
Could probably pitch/sell Bill Gates' design UI right back to him and make royalties off of Microsoft too.
> it wouldnt help their stability any though
