Not a bad shot for something I only used once or twice prior to that.

Just roll /idgames roulette till you hit the gold, or casually skim through some enticingly looking community projects you come across and look-up author names of the maps you particulary liked from them on doomwiki. Said wiki also has its share of lists and categories to sort through.

Some anons are generous enough for some fleeting recommendations, like with these recent posts. I don't know why anyone has no fancy to namedrop things they played more often, I've discovered Preacher with DBP projects by lurking here.

For personal example, I've just finished Sucker Punch 2 which is an easy and very short mapset with robust design, quite good for speedrunning. Only you have to play it on boom complevel, both txt file and designated pages are misleading.

Last but not the least overwhelming list

Implying you have played through all /vr/ wads already: Demonic Deviation, Cydonia, Riot Control. Or better yet, just hit random button on idgames, which reminds me that we haven't had random roulette in a long time.

Woof only displays Doom's original 320x200 resolution or double that if you select high resolution rendering in the settings. It'll scale to the size of your display, but never display a resolution higher than 640x400

No, there aren't any posts here that feel strongly about it, Terminus.
It's just a bunch of people who feel mildly peeved about it, posting in rapid succession.

http://emulation-general.wikia.com/wiki/Emulation_General_Wiki

You'll want the recommended PS1 emulator for your OS (I use PCSX-R) and the recommended PS1 plugins if the emulator uses plugins (PCSX-R does). You may also need the BIOS files, but they should be on the wikia somewhere.

Last time someone made a Monster Rancher thread they claimed they could do it with PCSX-R's "switch .iso" function under the "emulator" menu. Unfortunately they said that some of the preprogrammed results for certain discs don't work with the .iso's, and also that you need an .iso for each disc you want to use.

I've never tried it myself but I hope this helps.
