>>Literally invented the genre
That statement is almost as dumb as OP's question.
Yi Ar Kung-Fu was a thing and is credited with being the first "modern" fighting game and has some things that would later show up in SF2, but there were still plenty of fighting games before then and stuff like Karate Champ also had influences on Street Fighter.

What is "retro" depends on the generation and not the passage of time. People born in the 80s have one retro, people born in the 90s have a different retro, and so on.

This is not a question of whether PS2 is universally retro. It's a question about what posters--from which generation--the board is for. It's an arbitrary choice, just like making a Pokemon board is an arbitrary choice and Digimon players have no say.

A generation's definition of retro never advances. For a guy born in the 80s, Halo 3 will never be retro even in 2050s. So don't look at the calendar. Either conduct a poll and see how old the majority is (stuff that came out before they hit 20 is their retro)--or just pick an arbitrary cutoff and enforce it.

PS2 can not be retro in the absolute sense. This is meaningless. Retro only exists for particular generations, is different for each generation, and doesn't advance with time for that generation.

I know that many of you will disagree, but Yie Ar Kung Fu is the best fighting game of all time. Also this pic is so awesome that I will risk a ban just to share it with you. Salud!

This shit. This shit right here. It is one of the biggest reasons I cannot watch most LP's or game reviewers.

>First game
Some sort of 2600 game where you play as a bear collecting rubies.
>Favorite retro game
I come back to Castlevania 3 a lot but it is too difficult to pick just one. Chrono Trigger is definitely up there.
>Favorite Console
I never had an SNES so for nostalgia sakes I would say Sega Genesis.
>Time on 4chan/time on /vr/
4 chan embarrassingly enough about 2003. I only walked into /vr/ about two years ago. If not porn I'm usually here for /ck or /vr.
