I call that the magazine prototype of RE1 and that's what I've been looking for too. It sounds like it's similar to the timed demo dated 1/15 but if you look at the guides based on it, there's different item and enemy locations in some places.

There's also apparently a slightly different version of that timed demo build that was sent out to magazines for early reviews. This guide references the locations Trevor's Notes would have been and has some different item and enemy placements from the timed demo. I've tried to track down any information about it and even tried getting in contact with the old staff from this magazine but haven't had any luck so far.
