Everything about SM64 is really eerie to me. The fact every world takes place in a void, the chunky graphics, the bizarre enemies... Fuck

I mean looking at the screenshot right there, even if that fish wasn't after Mario, my ass is still clenching in anxiety because in the water but right at the edge of a void that goes into endless nothing, I mean yeah there's an invisible wall in that section of the stage, but jesus it's creepy.

Or pic related, you're in a lagoon out in the middle of nowehere, there's a fucking bottomless void outside and there's this fucking monstrosity you have to get close to.

I could never go back and play this fucking game.
