I will post some (poor, sorry about that) images of the bizarre problem I'm having. This is what the SMPTE color bars from the 240p test suite look like. As you can see, anything with equal RGB values renders as black, and mixed colors become very dark the more similar their RGB values are.
It's almost as if the color being rendered is the difference between the intended color and the nearest shade of pure gray (i.e., subtract the whole luma part).
