The original NA release actually. Even though the dev team were against the bump in difficulty I think it actually adds to the game. Gives it just a little bit more teeth.

I don't hate it, I hate that people act like it makes the original obsolete, when in fact they compliment each other nicely.
I prefer the original by a decent margin, but like both games and they're both well worth playing for RE/Survival Horror fans.

Eh, they stole the perspective and general horror setting, but that's about it. It's a quantum leap ahead of AitD in terms of design, technical muscle and artistry. I played both at the time and I felt like Biohazard enjoyed the greater spark of inspiration and achieved more. It was certainly a great deal more memorable.

Hey, i dont particularly like the game, but you just proved his point. By the time those websites and google pages came out, zelda had been established. But, when it was first released there was no established zelda plot or mechanics, they were trying something different (alot of games from that time were still fresh ideas, not lost on the clones/remakes/expectations of this era of gaming) and people liked it. Final fantasy was new, platformers were relatively new. None of these genres were at their peaks yet.

The type of gameplay style zelda 2 used was quite unique and gamers of the time were not quick to give up on a game because of its difficulty. Those were the games we played back then. There was not as many choices as there is now. You view this through skewed eyes, hes right to call what you say revisionist history.

Okay, I didn't want to start a new thread on this so I thought posting here would be good enough.

A friend of mine is trying to remember a game they use to play on the Playstation. Here's their description...

"You start off as a woman and you go across a portal to another world. While you're in the other world, you get to play as four different beings from that world. One of them is a water being, the other a fire and wraith, can't remember the last one. Pretty sure it starts with a P and it's an adventure game."

Also, I own the Wii versionC(a.k.a gamecube but neither are /vr/ I know) which has the original textures the HD remake fucked up. the 4:3 ratio is still in tact in the Wii/GCN which I prefer to be honest.

It's probably cheaper to get the HD remake though.
