Played the Genesis Truxton. Wow is it easier than the arcade version, for the better in my opinion. The arcade version had obscenely fast bullets that no mortal could reasonably keep up with without tons of sheer memorization.

And then we have one of the earlier arcade conversions that I believe was done very well on the Genesis. I still can't understand how I could get to the last stage in NES Gradius, and yet I never got past the second stage of this when I was a kid...

Okay, I sort of love this game. The five direction lightning and the auto-target lightning on big enemies feels incredible.

However, after playing the arcade version, I just don't know if I can go back to the Genesis one. I mean, surely they could have managed a slightly prettier, harder, and more intense port than what we got, right?
