Except that is not true. What GOG does is make games run natively on modern systems. They also give you the opportunity to buy a game that would otherwise be impossible. After that, do whatever the fuck you want with your purchase.

If you do not like it, go tweak away at the game yourself, but most people don't feel like wasting time on that kind of bullshit for every old game they want to play.
