And the Super 8 converter isn't? That shit was only available as a mail order curiosity and wasn't even that reliable of a device due to its grey market origin.

It's intellectually dishonest to claim that the SNES has better backward compatibility then the Genesis when you're counting an unlicensed peripheral while ignoring an actual official one.
