I'm not a newfag and I'm certainly not a zoomer. But I might retarded, and that's why I'm posting this question here despite any shit I might get for it.

Where is it safe to even download Nintendo ROMs in this day and age? I used to have so many NES, SNES, Game Boy, and N64 ROMs, but several hard drive crashes and new computers later I don't really have anything anymore and have wanted to rebuild my collection for some time. The problem is, over the last couple of years Nintendo been has hitting ROM sites like LoveROMs and forcing them to remove Nintendo content/shut down, and the last time I tried to torrent a Nintendo system game (6th gen) my ISP disabled my internet without warning and would not reconnect it until I asked them to, then warned me that next time there would be a $100 reconnection fee.

So as a retro Nintendo fan trying to get back into emulation after years of staying away from it, how can I go about doing so without getting screwed by my ISP? What do I have to do, get behind a VPN?
