You wanna know the worst part? It never used to be like this years ago.
The prototype community back in 2009 - 2012 was pretty calm with the hobby, and what you're witnessing here with the cancerous comment section isn't a problem exclusive to prototypes, or even games in general; It's an issue of the internet as a whole, and how easier access to it + the internet enviroment getting "squeaky clean", accepting and shit caused a huge influx of snotty little shits (as well as actual fucking degenerates in general) to overpopulate the web.
If you want even more proof of this, just check out the atrocity that is Twitter, specially its art community and how fucking obnoxious it all is.
