I'm >>4608173 and that monitor was in my home (apartment, actually) since I was like 6/7 years old and was used as intended for years until both desktops died and was then kept there until we moved down to another house and kept the apartment as sort of a storage. I rescued this monitor last year when my parents told me they're going to rent the house to someone, and I use it as the main display for my laptops. I actually posted here before asking for help since it flickered after some time being turned on but realized later it probably was the lack of ventilation and after that it almost never happens even when being used for hours.
