Alright anon, let me help you out as somebody who played this game at a young age and came up with my own M.O. to make it easier

>Start with Cut Man, just run past those blue fuckers. Keep trying, it gets easier. Cut Man dies quick from your buster just be sure to keep dodging.
>Fight Elec Man next, he is weaker to your cutter.
>The game lets you replay stages, so be certain that you immediately after replay Elec Man's stage. Find these blocks and use the elec beam to destroy them, because the elec beam destroys guts blocks. This will give you the magnet beam which makes it faaaaar easier to platform through Guts Man and Ice Man's stages: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgN3JHs-WGg
>Fight Ice Man next
>Fight Fire Man and be sure to freeze his flame pillars, it makes your life so much easier
>Fight Bomb Man
>Finish off with Guts Man
>Since you're a new player, learn the pause glitch for the Yellow Devil's boss fight, it involves spamming the select button: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghoVW-szN4Y
>Use pause glitch again as needed against boss rush/Wily (it works on any enemy in the game)
>USE YOUR ICE BEAM TO FREEZE BIG JUMPER ENEMIES THEN KILL THEM WITH YOUR BUSTER. Trust me, using the ice beam to freeze an enemy before switching weapons to kill them is a godsend (this does not work on bosses however)

TURNS OUT GENERIC MAN WAS JUST A BUNCH OF POTS AND PANS TAPED TOGETHER

MEGA MAN DIES

WE ALL GO TO IHOP AFTER WITH THE GOOD DOCTOR WILY

If this mofo gives you trouble, use Ice Man's weapon to freeze him in midair and run under him. Trying to kill him isn't worth it.
