That's retarded when you can emulate the MSX2 versions much more easily and they both have serviceable fan-translations. Metal Gear 2 is not the same without the celebrity lookalikes for character portraits, consistency be damned.

The HD Edition versions of MG1 and MG2 are pretty much upscaled without any filters. They didn't even bother to add in scanlines or anything.

I wouldn't know anything about sound issues since I've never bothered with them for more than a minute, but I'm guessing they're probably identical to the PS2 versions.
