i played the shit out of Morrowind on Xbox, there was a time in which everyone you included wanted to have a console to play RPGs like Knights of the Old Republic, Fable, and Morrowind, it was the console to have for those rich western rpg experiences! 6th gen is also where pretty much every single game that released still holds up if you were to replay them, you'll find yourself wondering why games like them don't tend to come out anymore.

i think the reason they don't make them like they used to is due to how the budget and the hardware aligned, AAA games have always been about the same, they take forever and they blow everyone away more often than not, but it was the AA (maybe even A?) games that simply surprised you with how good and how much content was on offer. it also helped that $50 was the standard then.
