My favorite game is Kakyuusei
It's similar at first glance with the phone calls and dates and state events during certain seasons, but it lacks the entire stat-raising gameplay system so it's a simpler game. It has a couple of things Tokimemo doesn't, though, like Doukyuuse-style town map exploration.

Kakyuusei's my favorite game of all time, though I never played the PC-98 version.
