I grew up playing on computers, never owning a console. My last pc crt died years ago, so I don't even have a point of comparison.
Is there even a point in trying to recreate a crt monitor look?

Why would you want to run a filter to simulate something that all CRT have already by design?

None. Most people played on a regular TV in the 80s and 90s where the shadow mask is designed to produce a continuous image. It's emufags with PVMs and VGA monitors that think scanlines are part of the game.

Turns out I confused slot mask for the kind of shadow mask used in CRT TVs.
