eh i'm not the sperg shitposting about difficulty, so thanks for the reply. It's something I am interested in discussing and not shitposting or being elitist about.
>rather than keep track whether they died from it or not
But why would you want to keep track? To maybe save 1 rocket? Isn't part of the fun of a shooting/action game the unpredictable nature of combat? Surely the difference between you visually noticing something or the fight being so frantic that you miss something is part of the fun and attributes to the chaos and adrenaline of combat.
Seems unnecessary to rape the immersion in pursuit of efficiency.
Maybe i'm wrong but all of this information that action games freely hand out is a result of nearly all modern vidya into a skinnerbox. It's like all this "stealth" vidya that lets you just see enemies through walls. Looking at your screenshot, you've even got every enemy on a radar, which is practically the same thing. You're robbed of any surprise or anything unpredictable that could arise from the game naturally.
If I was to speculate, i'd say you play modern AAA games and you're addicted to Operant conditioning and as a result you're trying to import it into other games.
